The reason

We are raising funds to support the local Woman’s shelter. Public funding through grants have become scarce. There are some renovations that need to be made in the kitchen and although a construction company has offered it’s services at a discount, the funds to complete the project are stretched between expanding do to an unexpected rise in domestic violence events due to the economy and the upcoming holiday season.

The professionals that volunteer their time are doing their best. Additional help is always needed. The address can’t be disclosed for obvious reasons in a public forum. Due to the small size of the shelter and its limited reach the number is given to women who know a woman that is in direct contact with the shelter itself. If and when they are able to meet the demand through the purchase of an expansion they will be added to the state directory of woman’s shelters. Help them be a force to help so many that hide in their homes in fear because the publicly known shelters are overcrowded and unable to provide the proper accommodations for those women with children.
